Owasso Baby Shower

On Friday Ryan's family hosted a baby shower for Hudson and I. It was so sweet and we had a nice time getting my family together with Ryan's and a few of my close friends. I'm so thankful to everyone who was able to come. It was a huge blessing!

The food and cake table!

Isn't this diaper cake cute?
It's filled with lots of great items that Hudson will need too, but I'm not going to want to take it apart.

Abby playing the chocolate in the diaper game. Stacia and I definitely won that one!

I'm sad this picture is blurry, but I had to share it anyway. Mom bought Hudson "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" one of our favorite books and it had the cutest matching moose to go with it. I'm sure this will be one of Hudson's favorites too.

This is my family at the baby shower including my mom, 2 sisters, grandma and great aunt.

My cute niece Sarah!

The hostesses of the shower-Jean, Mandy, Cassie and my mother-in-law Richie.
Thanks so much for putting this together ladies! We are so blessed to have thoughtful family like you all!

Most of the Hatch family girls (only missing 3).

Again a huge thank you to everyone who put together our shower and came. We are so happy to get to celebrate our coming bundle of joy with such great people and we appreciate each and every one of them and their generosity so much! Hudson will be one blessed baby because of each of you!

Black Friday

Well the infamous Black Friday has come and gone...
Here is a little photo story of our family's fun day.

It started very early on the day after Thanksgiving with a 5am wake-up to make a "run" to our favorite store-Target! I say "run" because there is no running when you stand in a line for more than an hour to checkout! The line wrapped the entire store by the time we had gotten there and they had only been open about an hour.
But despite standing in a line hot, hungry, and very sleepy we walked away with some great deals and had some good laughs Especially about funny fashion items like this vest that Abby is sleepily sporting.

After a nap and a litle family time we went to mine and Hudson's baby shower thrown by these lovely Hatch ladies! A seperate post will come about this later, but we were so incredibly blessed and I'm so thankful!

We had our family Thanksgivng dinner with our Grandparents in the evening and got pictures together for family Christmas cards. Here are my awesome parents and baby brother and sister!

We ended our eventful day at the movies seeing "The Blind Side" It was quite a sight at the movies; Trent was being "security" for the young ones who were getting a little to touchy feely. But despite the akward young ones, the movie was GREAT! I totally recommend everyone seeing it. I would definitely give it 5 stars!

So Thankful For.....

  • my family-they are the most amazing people I know. I love each one of them and am so thankful that they are all here and we can be together today.
  • my husband-he means the world to me and I love him to death! I can't imagine life without him and I am so thankful for his love, laughter and encouragement. He makes the worst day the best.
  • the healthy baby who is growing in my tummy-I'm still amazed that I can love him to much already and have only ever seen him on a tv/computer screen. But God has truely blessed us with this gift and we are so grateful.
  • my in-law family-they are so fun and make life interesting! They are a blessing and I'm thankful to have each and every one of them!
  • my friends-I truely am surrounded by the best friends I could ever imagine. They are fun, uplifting, and are always there when I need them.
  • my job-this is something a lot of people don't have right now and I'm so thankful that I have one and don't have to worry about how I'm going to get by or where I'm going to find work. It's a blessing and quite a task to teach 16 little ones each day but I am so thankful for them. They make my life happier!
  • my faith-We serve one big and amazing God and my life wouldn't be possible without him. I'm truely grateful that I serve a God who is bigger and better than anything I can do for myself.

Give thanks to the Lord, because He is good. His love endures forever!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have taken time to count your blessings!

Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate

Guess what is now located in the grand city of Stillwater?!
Nothing other than a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!!
Yesterday was the Grand Opening so Ryan and I walked downtown (Yes, it is within walking distance of our house) to enjoy it. It is always a treat to visit this store when we hit the slopes in Colorado each year so it's weird now having it in our own town to go visit whenever we want! And probably kinda scary too...

I enjoyed these delicious treats-part of a peanut apple (the rest of which is waiting for me in the fridge) and a chocolate covered strawberry.
Both were very delicious!

Ryan of course would choose ice cream! He is the biggest ice cream fan!
Anyway all of you Stillwater friends will definitely have to go try it out!
It place makes for a delicious treat every once in a while!

Senior Night

Thursday night was our last home football game for 2009, but was more special than that was that it was Senior Night! The seniors for the band and the football team were recognized and Ryan marched for his last time in Boone Pickens Stadium.  His mom, dad and sister came to the game to see him and we had a great time and luckily pulled out the win too!
Here are a few pictures of his special night!

Ryan and his mom after his last pre-game concert.

The game was parachuted in if you look closely you can see one of the three parachutes entering the stadium.

Right before the singing of the alma mater they called the seniors to the front of the field and recognized them and they sang the alma mater together.

Cassie and Morton-I think this is his tired face. He gets up really early in the morning for work so he had a long day!

My sweet sister in law and I!

Cassie and her mom!

Ryan and I on the field after his last post game concert!

I just have to brag on him for a minute and say that I am so proud of him! He has worked so hard to be in the band and put in so many hours above and beyond what is required! I know how passionate he is about marching band and I know he is going to miss it so much! I am so proud of all of his hard work and dedication to this program! He represents the OSU marching band proudly and I know that will never go away! He will always be one of their biggest fans!

32 Weeks and Baby Bedding!

I am so behind on posts this week! It has been so crazy with a middle of the week football game and all! So I'm combining posts to save time! Beware there are lots of pictures below!

Wednesday was my official 32 weeks! Things have been going pretty well!
No major changes, Hudson is just growing and growing which means I am just growing and growing! I am now raiding Ryan's closet for t-shirts to wear around the house because mine are all too short and don't cover my belly! Hudson now weighs about 3 3/4 pounds and is probably around 17 inches long! The coolest thing I read on my weekly baby e-mail is that he now has toenails and fingernails-so excited to hold those little and fingers and toes!
I have definitely noticed that I am starting to slow down. I don't walk my normal fast speed and my lower back is starting to not appreciate this extra weight so much. But it's nothing terrible and I think I can manage for a few more weeks, well more like 8!

Anyway, we ordered and recieved our baby bedding this week and I LOVE IT!
Here are a few (actually quite a few) pictures of it!

The outside (above) and inside (below) of the bumper.

Throw pillows-these will be moved to the rocker once we have that.

The diaper stacker which will be so nice to help store diapers in.

The quilt and inside of the crib.

This is what his bed wall looks like from standing in front of his closet.
Hopefully soon I will post a whole room tour so you can see it all finished!

Now that we have the bedding the room looks pretty complete.
Yesterday Ryan said, "Now all we need is a baby!"
He is getting so excited as am I!

Dresser and Diaper Changing!

We are getting so much closer to having Hudson's room complete!
Last night we made one of our last big purchases for the room, his dresser!
I'm so excited to finally have this so his clothes can get organized!

This is the view of the dresser wall.

The light shines right above his dresser so it made for a weird picture, but here it is up close!

Diaper changing station!
His diaper changing pad and a basket to hold all of the necessary diaper essentials.

The wall above the dresser-doesn't it look amazing?!
So thankful for the awesome people who painted it :)

Another view of the whole dresser area!
This definitely makes his room look more complete! I feel like we are getting so close!
A few more essentials and a baby and we will be all set!

Toy Rivalry

On this bottom of Hudson's bookshelf is this basket of toys and stuffed animals....

This morning I was cleaning the bathroom when I heard a high pitched song noise and I knew it couldn't be my phone. So I walked out into the living room to see what it could be. I was surprised to see Rylee sitting on the living room floor patting one of the toys with her paw making it sing. Apparently she knew that it was going to to talk to her and she wanted to hear it. Luckily when I grabbed it from her it had no damage, but a bit of dog slobber from where she had carried it from one room to another. Again this afternoon I had his bedroom door open because I was putting some things away in his room and again found her sneaking it out the door. I guess I am going to have to label the toy baskets and distinguish better between dog and baby toys. This could cause some definite jealousy when Hudson gets here and actually starts playing with these.

The sweet little blue toy is Rylee's toy of choice. You can see it has little polka dots on the side and it says "press." When you press it, the cheeks light up with red dots! Apparently she thinks it's for her. Maybe that means it's time for a new dog toy?

Details

Much progress has been made on the baby room and it is turning out better than I could have ever imagined! I am so excited about how amazing it looks!
Check out a few of the details we have completed so far...

Ryan and Stacia worked hard to finish the last of the paint touch up work and hang the letters. They were so sweet and locked me out so I couldn't see it while they put everything in place then finally they let me in for the big reveal! It was perfect!

This is the top of his bookshelf and our ultrasound pictures! I can't wait until we can get pictures of him in those frames!

Thanks for this cute sign and the picture frames, Grandma!

This is above his dresser. I love the little saying, I think it's perfect!

We also put the bouncer together!

Anyway, I am so completely grateful for all of the hard work my sweet husband and best friend have put into making this room happen! Like I said, it is better than I imagined it to be! We still have a lot of things to add, but we have made so much progress and I am so grateful! I can't wait until we have a sweet little boy in there too!

Deal of the Day!

Ryan and I were at Wal-mart tonight when we happened to venture by the Halloween clearance isle. Of course I spotted the baby things and had to look for anything Hudson might be able to wear next Halloween and I found it! The best part was that the original price was $3 and the sign said up to 90% off. I figured it would be worth it to carry it up to the cash register and figure out how much it was actually was since "up to" can be a catchy statement. I am glad I did, what a great deal! A whole 30 cents! I mean who can complain about that?!

Anyway, it might be worth looking at the Halloween clearance next time you visit Wal-mart!
You never know what cheap deals you may find. Ryan walked out with some candy corn so I think he was just as happy! ha

Hudson's Weekend!

This weekend was all about baby Hudson!
First, we were so excited and blessed to be able to do a 3D/4D ultrasound and see our sweet baby boy!  Then we were so honored and blessed by our Owasso church home as they threw us a baby shower. We could not be more grateful for their blessings as we are preparing for Hudson. We are so humbled and grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people!
Here are some pictures of our weekend...

Hudson's heartbeat-140bpm I can't ever get tired of hearing that heart.

Sweet Hudson was just not interested in his parents, grandparents, and aunt and uncle who were there to see his cute face. He had other plans one of which included sucking his thumb (picture above).

Then he decided he was really going to be shy, he put one arm across his face and the other is under his chin. I guess he is going to be a shy little guy!

Here is a picture of his whole face! It is somewhat blurry, but at least we can see the entire thing. He has chubby little cheeks and the cutest nose. We definitely think he looks more like a Hatch!

His big feet! He gets these from Aunt Erin!

Here we are opening gifts at our baby shower. I'm sure you can probably guess who bought us this gift I am holding in the picture above...if you guessed Jon and Ashton you are right! I told Jon it will be new and unused, just like it is now, when it is his turn to have kids!

Seriously I cannot say thank you enough for the way this church has been such a blessing to us. They are the most caring and generous people and we are forever grateful that they care so much for us and Hudson. We are just so blessed!
