SO WORN OUT

Back to school is staring to kick my behind...the time where all the before/after school meetings, appointments, birthdays, company parties, etc. happen and you don't get home until 8pm with only a whole other list of things to get accomplished before bed! This week seems to be that one....But tomorrow is finally Friday! My life is great and I am in no way trying to say otherwise, but this busyness is wearing on me! I definitely think I'm going to need this speech to make it through the last day of this week!

Here's to a happy Friday and a restful weekend!

Great Weekend!

Our weekend involved a lot of family time and it was nice!
Grandma & Grandpa were here for Jon's graduation so we spent some time just hanging out with them!
We went to Cody & Colleen's for dinner and the babies enjoyed playing together. The dads took them into the bedroom to play and this is how we found them!
And we got to go see Aunt Abby! We miss her lots and it was great getting to see her and her cute dorm room. It brought back a lot of memories from my time there! We can't wait to go back and watch her play volleyball! We are so excited for her! She is going to be an awesome student and college volleyball player! Go Aunt Abby!
We love you!
And now it's on to another busy week; meetings, parent night, and lots of fun with students! But the school year is already going quickly so we have lots to learn!
Have a great week!

7 Months

Hudson I cannot believe you are seven months old today!
Your Aunt Ashton babysat you today. She secretly bought you an OU shirt and put it on you after I left. You wore it all day until I got home. So just for her I took your picture in it, but then we made up for it by putting your OSU shirt on. So I had to post both pictures, they are just too cute (even when you're wearing OU)!

Here is your life at 7 months:

I don't know how much you weigh, but you are around 26-27 inches long!

You are quite the eater! You eat 6oz of formula every 3-4 hours. You also eat baby food once or twice a day. You love all your fruits and vegetables, except peas. They are the only thing mommy can't get you to eat. You love everything else you have tried though. I can't imagine what my grocery bill is going to be like once you start eating real food!

You are starting to get back into your sleep routine that went so crazy when we moved. You are starting to sleep about 5 hours straight and hopefully we are going to keep progressing!
You go to bed by 8:30 each night and wake up between 6:30 & 7am (with small wake ups inbetween).

You are getting better at naps and over the last week or so you have taken several 2 hour naps!

You wear 3-6 month clothes and a few 6 month things.
You wear a size 3 diaper.

Your hair is so thick, but much lighter than when you were born. You had your first haircut on your 6 month birthday from Aunt Erin!

You LOVE bathtime and splashing the whole time. You now take a bath in the big tub and you love it too!

You are getting better about being on your tummy since you can move around a lot more. You push yourself up and spin around on the floor.

You are working on crawling, but for now you push yourself backwards and get frustrated.

You sit up by yourself ALL the time now!

You still love to stand up and stomp your feet and jump around a lot! You also love to pat your hand on everything. You do it constantly to anyone who is holding you, the couch, your toys, etc.

You still love watching your dogs and seeing what they are up to. I think Marley will be your very best friend. She is very good at letting you pet her!

You smile all the time, but the best part is that we get to see your teeth! You have two bottom teeth and 1 top tooth! You have 3 more top teeth that are working on breaking the skin too! You have been one busy boy!

The hardest thing this month has been going back to work. The first 2 weeks were rough because most days when I got home it was after 6 or 7 at night. Things are starting to slow down a little now and I get to spend a little more time with you, but I still miss you lots when I'm at work. When I get home you hardly let me put you down and I kind of love that time together and knowing you missed me too.

I even love you when you fight me for the sign while I'm trying to take your picture!
"Excuse me Moose, I need my sign."

I love you Hudson (and so does daddy)! Thank you for being such a joy!

Teeth & Antsy Aunts

Hudson has a few aunts who are getting a little antsy about not getting enough updates. I apologize for making you wait, it's not like I don't have anything else to do! Ha! I'm kidding, I love you and so does Hudson!
We tried to do a little photo shoot, getting him to smile and laugh a lot to show off his teeth, but it's quite difficult!
So here is the best we got!
Not a great picture, but can you see those bottom teeth sticking up!
Ha! I love this face, like he is really trying to figure out how to show you! He has 2 cut on the bottom, one cut on top and we can see the beginnings of a few more top teeth too! Maybe he'll get them all over at once?!
I love this sweet boy, even when he's teething and a little fussy. And thankfully we got lots of quality time in this weekend. It's been a long 2 weeks getting ready for school and not seeing much of my baby boy (or husband)! Hopefully things will slow down just a bit now that we are getting into the routine of things.
This is my view most of the time I'm taking his picture...

Ok aunts, this should hold you over for a while right?!

An Empty House

We made a quick trip to Stilly today to take care of a few things.
The house is empty and ready to be in the hands of a new owner!
We have done some work over the past few weeks. We replaced the countertops (there is still a little finishing to do),
and replaced the tile in the half bath.
There are a few things I miss, like Hudson's cute nursery. That room holds a lot of sweet memories and I sure do miss those days.
We loved this house and it was perfect for our time there. We will miss it, but are excited about starting with something new (or old) in a new city. Goodbye house, I probably won't see you until we hand over your keys!

Adventures With Aunt Erin

Hudson spent the day hanging with Aunt Erin and it was quite the day!
To start the morning, he made one MAJOR mess so he got a sink bath. As you can tell he was real thrilled with the idea.
And then he realized that he was naked? Ha!
They also spent some time at the Splash Pad and he had lots of fun!
I think mostly because he was visiting with some girls....but by the looks of things the poor baby got ditched.

Hudson also got to come see his favorite teacher's classroom which is currently becoming more organized than this...
I can't wait to tell you all about it. I'm so enjoying my job! I've met lots of great teachers across the district and I love the Kindergarten teachers I work with; they have been really helpful and fun! And my assistant has been in my room scrubbing and cleaning, I'm so thankful for that. I don't think this room would be coming together without her. More pictures once all of this disorganized mess is gone! Soon soon soon.
