28 Weeks

photo (18)

How Far Along: 28 Weeks

Size of baby: the weight of a Chinese cabbage (just over 2 pounds)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +19lbs

Maternity Clothes: mostly pants. Wearing a combination of maternity and regular shirts, skirts, and dresses.

Gender: It’s a Boy! {Hayden Greer}

Movement: Yes! You can even see my belly move now! It’s at all random times of the day and night and it’s a lot more defined (if that’s the right word!)

Sleep: TIRED! Sleeping better because I am more than worn out each day. Still waking up some in the middle of the night.

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach. Being able to walk without my back hurting! It’s a much harder adjustment to our long hallways with a big belly!

Cravings: FOOD and water! I feel like a hungry hungry hippo!

Symptoms: big belly, crazy dreams

Best Moment this week: Hearing your heartbeat is always my favorite Hayden! It’s 142bpm.

I got my RhoGAM shot at the doctor this week so I am ready for delivery in that regard. No other news at the doctor, everything is going well with the baby!

Papa’s Cabin

We went away for a night at “Papa’s cabin” aka family camp.

He begged and begged to go to the Splash Pad and we finally got settled in and dressed to go. He was SO excited!

He slept with mommy and Donald. I think we slept from 11pm-6:30am.

We played in the fire pit because camp is all about getting dirty right?!

And he had to wait ALL morning for the train. It was a long time until 10:30. He sat so patiently on the bench once we got our tickets.

The train ride is ever so long at one whole lap around the camp, but it made this little guy HAPPY!

We had lunch and sherbet at the local restaurant in town.

We did some more swimming while the boys fished, then Papa taught Hud (or tried to) to play golf.

Notice that swing.

Now notice that he is carrying the ball down. And then taking it out of the hole. There is a hit in there somewhere but it didn’t get photographed!

And needless to say by the time we hit the highway this little guy was OUT!

A couple of weeks ago we headed to Texas for a wedding. My dad and Meghan’s stepdad are “adopted” brothers. We have always said that his kids are our cousins although there is absolutely no relation whatsoever.

They have the cutest little downtown area. This movie theater was under construction, but it was really neat!

We also visited the local coffee shop with this neat wall! They had the best berry smoothie EVER and Hud carried it around saying “I drink coffee.”

He picked out this guitar while we were working on a wedding project at Hobby Lobby. He did LOTS of singing and playing for us!

We happened upon a Five Guys for lunch! It is one of our very favorite burger places. Hud loves the peanuts the most!

Dad performed the ceremony. He also performed the ceremony when Meghan’s mom and stepdad got married so it was kind of cool that he could do it! Notice the ceilings in the picture. It’s a really neat place they have remodeled for events.

Abby and I with that handsome man!

This is the wedding project we worked on at Hobby Lobby! Erin did the writing! If you need tips on writing on chalkboards you have to read THIS!

I absolutely LOVED this wedding detail-a bouquet with all different brooches in the center of the flowers.

These ladies are our “cousins.” And this is a really terribly lit picture!

My sisters!

Hud loved the cake!

And he was completely worn out after the wedding! He slept in bed with mommy. This never happens because he tosses, turns and talks so much that 5 minutes later he is in his own bed. But he slept great and played guitar for us on the way home!

26 Weeks

photo (76)

How Far Along: 26 Weeks

Size of baby: the length of an English cucumber

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +15lbs

Maternity Clothes: wearing a good combination of regular and maternity.

Gender: It’s a Boy! {Hayden Greer}

Movement: Yes! You can even see my belly move now!

Sleep: Just having wild dreams and staying up too late at night. Hoping I can get back into the school routine soon!

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach.

Cravings: FOOD and water! I feel like a hungry hungry hippo! Some of my favorites right now are plain Lay’s chips and cereal!

Symptoms: crazy dreams, headaches and a big belly ;) I’m also having a very weird nauseous feeling when I go to bed at night, but it’s only been the last couple of days.

Best Moment this week: Still watching my belly move and grow! I think he’s gone through a growth spurt because I feel like my belly had doubled almost overnight! And getting his bedding designed finalized. I’m so excited about how it’s all coming together!
