Quick Update

Ryan and I had a great weekend! Friday night I went to the city with some friends for Girl's Night! We watched my sister play volleyball, ate at PF Changs, shopped Target and then ended the evening with ice cream from Maggie Moo's! YUM! Our husbands hung out together while we were gone-their dinner choice was Taco Bell (go figure) and they played Wii!
Saturday Ryan's parents came to go fishing. We started at Lake McMurtry and I caught 1 fish! The biggest one we got there! I'm not big into fishing so that was pretty good for me. Only the second fish I have caught in my lifetime! Unfortunately there is no picture. We gave our catches away to an entimology professor and some of his students who were fishing on the dock near us.
Ryan and his parents took the boat out on Boomer Lake afterwards, but I didn't go. I was getting tired and had my fair share of fishing for a while!
We spent most of today together until he was off to work, including an incredible church service! I love going to church and being challenged to be a better me. If you aren't involved in a church I can't tell you how much you are missing out! If you don't know about Jesus and what He did for you then you need to! I would love to tell you all about him!
OSU football starts this Saturday! Ryan is super excited and plans to wear orange every day this week! Hopefully the weather will be nice like it was this weekend! We had a nice breeze that really gave off a hint of fall! I think it will be here soon and I can't wait! It's definitely my favorite season! After the Georgia game we have another 2 days of the weekend to enjoy, but we will be working hard on the baby room. The plans are all drawn out and we are ready to paint. I'll try to post pictures once we are finished.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable week! Remember these wonderful words to live by:
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 KJV

My Workplace

Ok finally a few moments to sit down and post...
So finally here it is! My classroom! I titled this post my workplace because that's what it is but I never really call it work, I always say "school." It is a lot of work but it is so fun and rewarding!
This picture is the view from the doorway. You can see most of the room except the cubbies and a few tables that we do small groups at.
Calendar: We do a lot of things here-It is where we start and end our day!
The picture above and below are the centers areas.

This is our classroom library! These books are organized in categories and my sweet 5 year olds are helping me keep them that way. They are very good about asking how to put them away in the right bins because I told them it was VERY important! It also makes it a lot easier to find books!
That is the grand tour (for now at least)!
Now on to something baby...
I had to share a picture of this precious gift I got today! My best friend's sweet grandma bought me these. I know they are a little hard to see, but I can't take them out of the box just yet! The ones on the right are horses and the ones on the left have "neigh" written repeatedly! They are absolutely precious and I'm sure Hudson will enjoy them! So thank you to sweet Donna for being so thoughtful!

First comes love,
Then comes marriage,
Then comes the baby in the baby carriage!
Ha! Do any of you remember singing that song to your siblings to tease them? I'm pretty sure I heard it ALL the time when I was little!
Anyway it is true! We are having a sweet baby boy!
We are expecting the arrival of Hudson William in January!!
It was a big surprise but we are so excited! Yesterday we had an ultrasound and he is doing great! We got to see baby Hudson up close and personal! We looked at his spine, fingers, toes, umbilical cord, and all his little body parts! His little heart is just beating away inside me! It was at 146 bpm yesterday! According to my weekly e-mails from baby center he now weighs about 81/2 ounces; about the size of an heirloom tomato!
We are already so in love with this little guy and can't wait to meet him!
I know I said next I would post my classroom pictures and I promise they are coming soon! I thought you would want to know our great news a little bit more though :)
From the desk an ecstatic mother-to-be!

Where Have I Been?

Ever since my last post I have been on the go! Right after the great news about my job Ryan and I headed to Dallas to meet up with the rest of the Hatch family! We got to see these two wonderful people tie the knot!
We also went to my first Texas Rangers game!
It was fun, but we left early because a storm was coming!
And of course before we left we had to visit one of my favorite stores in the world!
IKEA!
We didn't do too bad! We made it out only $75 later and got lots of great deals!
Including this duvet and pillow for only $9.99!! It was definitely the deal of the day!Since our return from Dallas I have been spending my time preparing to be in this wonderful classroom! I have attended trainings, meetings, and spent lots of time decorating, arranging and organizing this room! I will try to do a room tour later but this is a sneak peek for now!
This is the view from the doorway.

Friday was the first day of school and it was a blast! We had a great time and I loved getting to meet all of my little ones! Maybe my next post will be a classroom tour, plus my favorite moments of Kindergarten so far!
On another note I must say church was AMAZING this morning! Pastor Craig's series right now has just been really challenging my heart. I have been thinking a lot about inviting people to church and being more outgoing with my faith so here goes (not that this is enough, but it's a start)...
If you don't have a church home or want to try out church I would love to take you! God called us to reach people for Him. To show them the love and mercy he bestowed upon us and I hope and strive towards that everyday.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whosoever believes in him should not parish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
And that is the reason we live! I am so thankful for it!
