God is able to immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine.
Ephesians 3:20
I have been repeating this verse to myself the past few days. God is able. That is what we learned at church on Sunday and I have faith that he really does more and will continue to do more than I could ever dream. He is a faithful and just God. That's why I love Him!
Anyway, tonight after continuing to think about that verse I thought why not share a few of my prayer requests with the world because God is going to do more than I could imagine and I am going to continue to pray for his will. So here they are:
-First of all-my job! I'm not sure where I will be or where God wants me to be next school year, but I have complete faith that he will open the doors that need to be open so that I am where his will wants me!
-Monday, Ryan and I experienced the most incredible gift God could ever give any human being. If you don't believe there is a God or that he can do amazing things wait until you experience this because it will make you believe. He has blessed and surprised us so much the past few months that I cannot even begin to express it all. (more to come on this topic later)
-My sweet mom. As some of you have probably heard on June 1st she found out that she has a fib in her heart. It was hard news and even harder to hear that it's not "if" it comes back, but "when." She sees the cardiologist again tomorrow to discuss options for treatment. Just pray that as she lives with this condition God's will will be done through this. We have a pretty healthy normal family and we are so lucky so it's different for us to hear that someone in our family is suffering. Something we haven't dealt with a lot, but we are just praying for God's guidance and wisdom.
-My poor older sister had a small battle with a step and a dog gate last week and now she is wearing a boot for the summer to heal her foot. Praying that God will give her a speedy and good recovery. It's no fun when you can't drive and you have a heavy black boot on your foot all the time.
-Travel and business this summer. First of all for our safety that we may have fun but also be safe and second that in all of the business this summer we will not lose sight of God's will. That we will take time to focus on Him and spend quiet time with him.
I would love to pray for anyone that needs it. We are talking a lot about prayer at church right now and I want to do my best to spend time in coversation with Him!
May His will be done because He is able!

This past semester I took a class on the prophets and wisdom literature and found so many rich verses for times of uncertainty. The prophets, led by God, were able to bring comfort to an entire group of people who had so many questions unanswered. (they also brought words of judgment too...but that doesn't fit with my comment to you :)

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord you God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. (Isaiah 43:1b-3a)

When we were studying Isaiah this verse really stood out to me, reminding me that no matter how confusing or difficult a season in our life may seem, God will be with us.

I love reading your blog and seeing your unwavering trust in God and the glory and praise you bring him every day. Your faith is so powerful.

Steven and I miss you guys so much and can't wait to see you both in 3 weeks! We will continue to pray for you both. We love you guys so much!
