My Baby Sister

Back in October this amazing girl (my sister) helped lead her team to 6A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! Last night they had the amazing opportunity to get their rings! They have worked hard to raise money to pay for them (because they aren't cheap).

My family and the Owasso community is pretty proud of our LADY RAMS!

Office Remix

A few weeks ago we made a trip to one of the coolest stores on earth! It was Heaven by the name of IKEA!! This was our first (but certainly not last) experience! Now that we have gone we will forever be addicted! It is an experience in itself. We spent over 3 hours there and barely looked at half of what they had!

Anyway, I said all of that to say this....

We found a desk and a few office other items which lead to what I call an office remix. We moved things around and made it look fresh!

The desk cost us a whole $25 dollars, some creativity and a little time. It was well worth it! Here is the new look....

Pursuit of Happiness....

Unfortunately that is not what God created us to pursue. God created us to be people of His will not people who follow our own desires.

The current series at our church has really been eye opening. This particular message has really hit home because it's made me think about what God wants in my life. No matter what, I will never be complete unless I am in His will. I can't imagine being anywhere else.

Wonderful!

This post is titled wonderful because these are the three AMAZING adults with whom I spend my work days (at least in 5th grade). There are lots of other amazing people too, but these in particular are special to me because we spend LARGE amounts of time together. I don't know what I would do without all of their love and support this year! They are not only amazing coworkers but great friends!
Thanks for always making me smile friends!

Warmth Inside

The past 2 days we have been stuck in the house due to ice! So I've been trying to occupy my time wisely. I have made chili, cleaned, sewed,put together Valentine's bags for my students, updated Facebook, and the list goes on. This afternoon I decided it was time to really put the KitchenAid to work! Here is my creation, a homemade yellow cake (from scratch) and butterceam frosting! I'm not much of a cake decorator, so it definitely tastes better than it looks!

The Holidays!

So it has been over a while since I have posted and I'm not sure where to start in order to catch up. So I think I will start with the most obvious thing that has happened lately...The Holidays! I can't believe they are already over but it was a GREAT time. We spend Thanksgiving with both sides of our family and even made a trip to Missouri to visit our grandparents!
I had the opportunity to spend lots of time with my family after Ryan left for the San Diego bowl game trip (which we won't talk about). Anyway, we spent most of our time eating, cooking, and playing LOTS of games. We played everything from Nertz to Yahtzee to Battle of the Sexes. It was a great time to just hang out and relax and enjoy each others company.
