Recently Ryan and I had maternity pictures taken and I had a great time! I'm not sure Ryan necessarily loved it, but it stuck it out for me. He kept telling the photographer, "As long as she's happy." ha! Anyway, Margo was awesome and we can't wait to see the rest of our pictures but for now here are a few more of our Sneak Peek! There is even a small preview of Hudson's room!

30 Weeks
Can you believe that it has already been 30 weeks since this little guy started cooking in my tummy? I seriously can't believe we have hit this mark, it's all downhill from here right?
Hudson is growing so much! He now weighs almost 3 pounds and is about 15 1/2 inches long! How crazy is that? I can't imagine how much of a big ball he is probably curled up in!

It is obvious he is needing more room as he uses my ribs for extra space. He has found that there is more room up that is has been nicely nestled there for the past few days.
Not much has changed for me though. I mean my belly is obviously growing, as you can see in this picture, but nothing else is new or different. I have been feeling good except for the slight head cold junk that I had the past week or two. I even lost my voice which was terrible, but nothing more thankfully! I can't imagine getting anything worse-my body is already working enough as it is.
Today a few of my kids decided they wanted to talk to Hudson so they would walk up to my belly and point to it and say, "Hi baby!" It was so sweet. I think they have finally gotten used to the fact that I'm having a baby since they don't talk about it as much anymore. It's kind of nice not hearing, "Are you having a baby?" about 30 times a day! Although I couldn't be happier to say YES!

Anyway, we are enjoying watching my belly move and are looking forward to seeing him on our upcoming ultrasound! I have a doctor's appointment next week and am excited to see how much my belly has grown in the past 4 weeks and hear that sweet heart beat!

Meet Julian
No, this is not our child!
Some friends of ours had their baby boy just 2 weeks ago!
It worked out perfectly that we already had plans to be in Tulsa the next day for Ryan to go to class so we were able to go meet him! He is a good size boy weighing in at 8lbs 14oz with a full head of hair too! Such a cutie!
Ryan was really nervous about holding him and when it came time to pass him on to the next visitor he said, "I may need some help." Ever since then he has been mentioning how he is really afraid that he is going to be clumsy and somehow drop Hudson. How sweet :) I keep reassuring him that Hudson will be just fine and that it will come naturally. I think he is going to be a pretty tough guy feeling how powerful he is when he kicks his momma!
Anyway a huge congrats to our sweet friends as they are adjusting to their new life with Julian! So excited for them!

November is here!
It's November! I like this month! We have lots of great things going on! It also means Halloween is over so I won't be hearing, "Is tomorrow Halloween?" anymore! Now we get to learn about Thanksgiving and turkey and remembering to be grateful!
By the way check out the photo below of Jackie and I in our costumes! I was a chef/baker/cook or whatever else my kids decided it could be named. I really wanted to make a shirt to wear that said "Bun in the oven" but I just didn't have time! Luckily I had this apron my mother-in-law made me to throw on and I borrowed some cooking/baking utensils and Ayden's cute hat from a friend!
So thankful it was an easy costume to throw together! I'm not much for Halloween; dressing up just isn't my favorite thing to do.
In other news, pray for Ryan. He has been sick since Wednesday night. Poor guy just really isn't himself and doesn't have a lot of energy. He is going back to work today but is already looking for someone to help cover his work since he still just doesn't feel up to it. I'm praying he will recover soon and get back to being healthy, energetic Ryan. I like that guy much better :)
Praying you have a healthy and happy November!

Music & Jesus
This weekend Ryan and I got to go visit some of our favorite friends! They are grad students at Baylor and Katie is the resident chaplain for a dorm on campus. They live in a cute little apartment in the dorm and we got to experience the dorm life for the weekend! Ryan wanted to know if Katie planned on teaching music and Jesus when she graduated, thus the title of this post.
We have this awesome tradition that for each Baylor v. OSU basketball/football games we get together. Even though they cheer for the opposing team we still love them!
It is great to spend time with them and I love our fun tradition!
It was Baylor's homecoming so Saturday morning we got to see the longest and oldest collegiate homecoming parade! And they are right it was long, we had to leave early so we could make it to the game on time!
But the boys enjoyedquite a few donuts before the parade and that kept them happy!
We saw some great floats, entertaining people and of course the bear!
I couldn't catch a picture of "Sic Em" because the trainers were standing in the way, but I had to get a picture of this black bear for my students since it is our mascot!
Anyway, a huge thanks to our sweet friends for taking such good care of us this weekend! Thank you for the delicious food, the comfortable place to stay, the laughs, and the memories! We can't wait to see you all in January when Hudson gets here! He is going to love you all just as much as we do! Thank you for being such great friends and hosts!

Why I Love My Mom...
Because she sends me funny pictures of things like this while I'm at work....
Do you see what she is taking a picture of?
I was a little thrown off at first and had to take a second look. The big suburban was what jumped out at me at but then I looked up and saw this:
Hudson's name on a street sign in Tulsa. It definitely made me smile!
Not everyone would take a picture of their grandson's name on a street sign and send it to them via iPhone e-mail! Love you Mom!

Goodbye Second Trimester, Hello Third!
28 weeks!
I have made it through the second trimester and now onto the last one! How exciting!
Here is what is going on with Hudson right now:
- Hudson weighs about as much as a Chinese cabbage 2 1/4 pounds. He is still around 14 inches long.
- The coolest thing that is happening this week is he can now open his eyes! He is mostly just blinking, but over the next few weeks he will begin to deliberately open and close them.
- He is moving more than ever. It is now more obvious to other people when he moves because you can see my entire belly moving.
- His room is coming along and we are now onto the finishing touches of painting! Can't wait to get this finished and start with the decorating! He is going to have the cutest (Ryan likes to say coolest-he thinks cute is not manly enough) nursery ever thanks to all of Stacia and Ryan's hard work!
- My glucose test results came back normal and everything is going great! We are just getting more prepared and excited every week! Only 12 weeks to go!
