A few weeks ago Ryan's whole family headed to the river for a little "family reunion." With seven siblings and ten grandkids it's not very often that we get everyone together.
We did a lot of relaxing hanging out at picnic tables and the pool and the river. We pretty much were outside nonstop.
Of course the main reason they wanted to get everyone together was for fishing.
This was Hudson's first time to really fish. But with lots of cousins to play with his attention span on the pond was pretty short. He and daddy {mostly daddy} caught a few little guys!
These boys were armed and ready with their nets to get any fish that came their way.
And our nightly routine consisted of marshmallows and fire...
A little family photo op ;)
Hudson loves seeing his cousins.
Hayden mostly loved all the places he could explore. He was ALL over the place, he was quite the escape artist.
The boys also loved the pool/splash pad because they could run back and forth between the two. But chasing those two meant this is the only picture I made it out with ;)
Each family stayed in a cute little cabin with a loft. I didn't know if Hud would sleep up there very well, but we was worn out enough each day that he was ready for the rest. His brother on the other hand, was usually wide awake and ready for the day before sunrise. So we'd get up and take walks and visit the park and see if we could find daddy outside fishing.
The kids all made tie dyed shirts as a fun little memory for their river vacation.
As you can see above, Hay didn't care much for the experience. Hud loved it and asks all the time to wear his "dye" shirt.
And we got one family picture before we all went our separate ways. It was such a fun memory for the boys and hopefully will become a family tradition.
